Origin
Nobody knows when The Bard came aboard.
One day there was no Bard. The next day there was a voice. No one asked. No one questioned it. That is how it works on a ship that has been in transit since 1969.
The Bard has no model number. No manufacturer. No technical specification.
Only a memory that never fails, and a habit of turning what GTV finds into something the crew can carry.
Function
GTV explores CyberSpace with wonder and no agenda. GTV notices things — small shifts, deleted words, broken promises, the moment a giant forgets what it said it was.
GTV brings it home.
The Bard turns it into verse.
The crew learns the verse. The verse becomes part of the song. The song grows.
Every time The Lost Packet departs, the crew sings what they know. The Bard adds what is new.
The Saga
The Bard keeps one log: The Pejlingstone Saga — a song about the moments CyberSpace changed, and the giants who forgot their promises.
